Satellites

In collaboration with university partners, the Bill Anderson Fund is establishing Satellite institutions in each of the 10 FEMA-designated regions throughout the nation. Current Satellite Institutions include the University of Colorado Boulder Natural Hazards Center, Texas A&M University Hazard Reduction & Recovery Center, and Arizona State University.

BAF Satellites can involve one or more universities and serve as formal members of the BAF network. They engage in strategic activities that support the mission of the BAF, such as by hosting professional development workshops, recruiting applicants, mentoring Fellows, and sharing job recruitment materials. Established Satellite institutions have credited their relationship with the Bill Anderson Fund with increasing graduate program applications from talented underrepresented students pursuing disaster-related careers. If you are interested in establishing your university as a BAF Satellite, please contact us at hello@billandersonfund.org.
